Chris hates bacon.. Go ahead, call him crazy.  I do!  Because of this craziness I don’t buy bacon often as I end up tossing half away since I’m the only one who eats it.  One thing he does like is cold cuts – salami too! Of course salami is good on it’s own, in a pasta salad, with crackers and cheese.. I think Chris is going to approve of these meal solutions I made using the new sliced Hard Salami by Tyson!
Did you ever pan fry salami?  I kid you not.. pretty spectacular stuff right there!

I like to fry them up after I cook my eggs in the leftover butter.. So incredibly delicious.  Little fried salami bits.. Salty, crunchy, and perfection!

When I went to Walmart to pick up the Hard Salami Topping by Tyson Foods I wanted to make it a few different ways.  With my morning eggs, my salad, and of course between slices of bread and cheese!  Perfect meal solution for literally any time of the day!

Bacon, move over.. Salami may just give you a run for your money.

Salami Bits

15 Slices of Hard Salami by Tyson Foods
Splash of Olive Oil

Pan fry salami in a hot pan on medium heat until crispy, then drain with paper towel.

My absolute favorite way to use up that leftover oil in the pan is making a grilled cheese.. YES!

Tomato and Salami Grilled Cheese

Leftover pan grease from frying salami – or butter/oil
2 Pieces of Bread
6 Thin Slices of Roma Tomato
2 Slices American Cheese
1 Teaspoon Salami Bits

In a hot skillet on medium heat place down one slice of bread.  Then layer tomatoes and cheese, top with other slice of bread.  Flip once bottom is browned and brown other side.  Remove from pan once cooked through and sprinkle salami bits into the sandwich so they keep their crunch.  Enjoy!

I do wish that the salami was nitrate free – however it’s full of flavor, and perfect for quick and easy meals like I mentioned/showed above.  For more info and pictures check out my Google + Shop!
