When I receive a gift, it’s the simple things I appreciate most. My father taught me to appreciate the little things. He always appreciated the little things, especially the stuff that’s handmade, the cards that are full of scribbles. My husband is the same way and I love that about him! My toddler loves to throw parties lately. We threw Chris a birthday party with just the 3 of us recently. We all had so much fun at our little party. My father, oh boy how I miss him. He was an incredible man, and I’m so grateful that Chris got to meet him and get to really know him for a few short months before he passed. The one thing I don’t like about my father.. was his hatred of having his picture taken. Photos are all I have left aside from the memories, and he wasn’t in many of them.
Sometimes Chris (and even I) will exclude ourselves from a photo, but when it comes to being in a family photo Chris is a superstar! Even if he doesn’t want to be in the picture, he is!
I’m SO hAPpy for the time I had with my father. I’m SO hAPpy I married a man that I can call an incredible husband and father.
He works hard for us all day and then comes home and takes us out. We love going to the park together as a family, going to the movies, or even just going shopping! After a 10 hour day he could easily just plop on the couch and fall asleep (okay, he does this once a week, but that’s his 14 hour day), but instead, he goes out with us, and we have fun, make memories, and just enjoy being together!
Now daddy is going to be SO hAPpy when he sees his gift, plus he’s going to smell really good too!
