There’s nothing like a good yogurt. I can tell you that since I’ve tried Chobani, I haven’t eaten the other colorful yogurt most stores sell. I wasn’t really a yogurt fan, but when the supermarket had a sale for 10/$2.99 I would buy them. Now if I see Chobani one sale 4/$5 I get excited! I still buy it regular price, because it’s totally worth it. It’s now one of my favorite snacks. My favorite is Vanilla Chobani with a teaspoon of real maple syrup. Try it, and let me know what you think! I know you’ll be in love too!
I haven’t been in the kitchen much.. while browsing through my camera I actually saw I took some pictures of another one of my favorite things to do with yogurt, my Apple Cinnamon Yogurt! It’s pretty simple, healthy, and delicious. I love making this ahead of time and letting the flavors combine and enjoying later in the day.
Apple Cinnamon Yogurt
Makes 2 Servings
1 Granny Smith Apple
1 Teaspoon Brown Sugar
1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
1/8 Teaspoon Nutmeg
1/8 Cup Apple Cider, or Juice
1/4 Cup Water
– 2 – 6oz Plain Chobani
Chop the apple into tiny chunks. I use my Genius Nicer Dicer to get my apples uniform in size.
Place the apples in an 8″ pan, along with the remaining ingredients -not yogurt. I used my Calphalon Contemporary Stainless Steel 8″ Omelet Pan. Cook the apples on low-medium about 10 minutes or until tender, not mushy. Drain the liquid from the apples, and discard liquid.
Let the apples cool, and then mix with the yogurt.
Sprinkle a little more cinnamon on top with some extra apples. Enjoy or chill.
