It has been so cold here that all I want to do is pop an organic frozen pizza into the oven and devour it. It solves two problems.
- It’s cold and it warms up the house.
- It’s delicious and fills my tummy.
Kay even loves pizza. I actually hated pizza, especially plain before having her. Then while I was pregnant all I wanted was PIZZA. PIZZA, PIZZA, PIZZA, PIZZA, AND MORE PIZZA. Chris and I was shocked how much I wanted to eat pizza.. Sure enough it’s one of baby girl’s favorite foods! I couldn’t stand chicken during pregnancy and she’s actually allergic to chicken with her FPIES food allergy. Since then I’ve been a little iffy with chicken, especially since she can’t have it – why have it in the house? I try to never eat what she can’t.
However we can’t eat pizza everyday.. I know not right? Those organic pizzas can get pretty darn expensive! So we’ve compiled a list of 25 Quick and Easy Comfort Food Recipes that you can make at home and get cozy on the couch. The obvious trend is pasta.. Nothing says comfort like pasta! Best of all you can really control the pasta you use. I’ve even used spaghetti squash or zoodles in the place of pasta. You can easily adapt any recipe using a healthier ingredient and still getting that comfort. I even included one of my favorite childhood recipes. Cream Cheese Macaroni and Cheese! The ultimate comfort foods for me are potatoes and pasta. I could live off of both. Well Pizza too! Isn’t it weird how all my comfort foods begin with a P? You could even toss in Philly Cheesesteak..
